Peak river levels have been experienced throughout the region from last weekend’s rainfall, and rivers are now receding. Flows remain high in some areas.
Weather through this week is expected to be unsettled, with seasonal temperatures and occasional showers. There is the potential for more organized showers into the weekend.
Flows may remain high in some areas through this week, however no significant rises above current levels are expected at this time.
The public is advised to stay clear of the fast-flowing rivers and potentially unstable riverbanks during the high-streamflow period.
The River Forecast Centre continues to monitor the situation and provides updates as conditions warrant.
